29 August 2026 · ZopDev
A morning for engineers working on lakehouse formats, dependable ingestion, and production data platforms. The program moves from the evolution of Apache Iceberg to the failure modes that appear when Kafka ingestion jobs run for hours or days.
Past events
Each event page preserves the program, the central ideas from every talk, and the context that connected the sessions.
July 2026 · Nokia L5, Manyata Business Park
Four talks connected a major Kafka control-plane migration with two fast-moving application domains: production multi-agent systems and real-time fraud detection. The result was a useful cross-section of what dependable event-driven engineering looks like in practice.
June 2026 · InMobi
This event explored three constraints that appear only after streaming systems become serious: time has no universal meaning, queue-style work does not always fit partition ownership, and cloud storage integrations can accumulate years of dependency and performance debt.
