Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to fignix.com and the Fignix services that link to it, including course access, product information, community pages, account features, and email subscriptions.
In this policy, “Fignix,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Fignix. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to contact@fignix.com.
Information we collect
When you create or use an account, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, authentication-provider identifier, and email-verification status from Clerk and the sign-in provider you choose. We do not receive or store your Google password.
We store account records needed to operate Fignix independently of any one authentication provider. These records may include your verified email addresses, course enrollments, access status, and related timestamps. If you subscribe to updates, we also store your email address, consent record, subscription purpose, and unsubscribe status.
When you contact us, we receive the information you include in the message. Our hosting, authentication, and security providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, request metadata, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or security events.
Google sign-in data
If you choose Google sign-in, Fignix requests only the basic identity information required to authenticate you: OpenID identity, email address, and basic profile information. We use this information to sign you in, create or update your Fignix account, secure access, and associate your course enrollments with you.
Fignix does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, files, or other Google services. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train artificial intelligence models.
How we use information
We use personal information to authenticate users, maintain accounts, provide course access, record enrollments, respond to support requests, send communications you requested, protect the service, investigate abuse, maintain reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, to comply with law, and for legitimate interests such as securing and improving our services. You may withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate Fignix, comply with law, protect users, or complete a business transaction. Current service providers include Clerk for authentication, Google when you select Google sign-in, Vercel for application hosting and delivery, and Neon for managed database infrastructure.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or harm. Fignix does not sell personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Fignix and Clerk use cookies or similar browser storage that are necessary to maintain authentication sessions, protect sign-in flows, remember security state, and keep the service functioning. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account or course features from working.
If we later add optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by applicable law.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Different record categories may have different retention periods.
You may request account deletion or correction by emailing contact@fignix.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may remain in backups or be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
Your choices and rights
You can review and update certain account information through the available account controls. You can unsubscribe from optional emails using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, or to receive a portable copy. Contact us to exercise a right, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Security, international processing, and children
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong account password and protect access to your email and sign-in providers.
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers. Fignix services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Fignix evolves or legal requirements change. We will revise the date at the top and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal information.
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact contact@fignix.com.
